The 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo will be held in Hunan from June 12 - 15, 2025. The expo will focus on implementing the spirit of the 2024 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the "Ten Partnership Actions" for China-Africa's joint pursuit of modernization. Shen Yumou, the director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, said that the expo will strive to achieve four key "transformations": changing from "exhibition traffic" to "economic and trade growth", from "short-term activities" to "long-term mechanisms", from "government-led" to "market-driven", and from a "regional platform" to a "global node".

The main exhibition hall of the expo will cover an area of 100,000 square meters, with a significant increase in the proportion of professional exhibitions. It will showcase the achievements of China-Africa cooperation in industrialization and agricultural modernization and set up special exhibition areas for clean energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, traditional medicine, cross-border e-commerce, modern agricultural machinery, and construction machinery. The expo will also invite more Chinese and African enterprises, business associations, and financial institutions to participate, paying more attention to market demands.
